Good morning everyone of the board sliding realities. It really seems like summer's work is done here and it is packing to move for the season as fall/winter looks to be coming in on the morning train. I really don't like being the bearer of sad news but I got it and need to report it...It's currently 60 degrees, foggy, gloomy and drizzly with an on-shore wind and no swell in sight right now. Hopefully later today the sun will get up from sleeping in and greet us with a bit of golden rayed delight but until then it looks more like a work/school day. Sorry kids.
CHANNEL: On shore winds, low tide and no swell make the Channel a dull boy. Couple that with the gloomy weather conditions and it would turn any surfer into Jack Nicholson from 'The Shinning!' Maybe later today we could have something positive to report but until then...yeesh. One (1) longboard out there now just sitting-- possibly "mind surfing."
PATCH: If I was standing on a raft out by the Rock/Meeting Rock/Bulk Head and I were to see you on the beach the ONLY wave you'd see at the Patch today would be me waving hello to you.

The second annual Mill Valley Surf Film Festival is coming up, Sept 13th and 14th at the Sweetwater in downtown Mill Valley. Tickets are on sale now. Looks like a solid lineup this year with Mason Jennings and Rogue Wave playing sets after the films each night.
