Daily Surf Report - 12/9/2015

Mysterious signals and signs barely visible mix with a steady rain as we greet yet another day in the village. The air is charged with the smell of the sea and tumult. Though a small brigade of sliders has attempted inroads and beachheads, they are rebuked with smile and wry nod from chaotic breakers and literal and metric tons of water. Same as it ever was...


CHANNEL: A lone sentinel seeks some order from the waking nightmare that is the channel at this hour. Even from a distance, the air of panic is palpable, as every motion of shoulder and hand is mere moments from being swept out and over. This is not my beautiful house...



PATCH: A broken field of disorder and disappointment. A virtual buffet of madness and despair. A surf DMZ, if you will. Though it is certain that a foolhardy few will still don neoprene and a misguided confidence, one's efforts might be more wisely exerted in a centering breath and an alignment of chi. Letting the water hold me down....
