Daily Surf Report - 5/2/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.” - Helen Keller

Supernaturally quiet, foggy and overcast morning in Bolinas.  Dead calm and ocean glass.  Temp in around 55F.  Slip in under to cloud cover and find your place in the sea.  Clean conditions with easing NW windswell but S swell is holding and the angle has gotten a bit steeper.  Small but spewing waves to ride.  Sun will be out soon and tide dropping so all vampires take advantage now.  Bare your fangs and coffin ride your log.

CHANNEL:  Just hitting negative low tide and all the sand bars are exposed.  Seadrift lefts looks to be showing and size is a guesstimate at knee high +.  A few in the water on shorter boards here giving it a whirl.  Looks fast and short but has some push and I expect more water will help to improve the conditions.

PATCH:  Again we have Low tide, No tide and ALL rocks exposed.  Yet, the S swell is giving up waves out past the meeting rock for all those that dare to venture or paddle the distance.  It is usually worth the effort.  Waves are fog-covered and concealed but the premonition is thigh high with a bit of push to get big boards rolling and riding.  Maybe 8 or more here.  Mind the rocks on your feet and fins and get some waves.

PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT.
Respect the Beach.
