Daily Surf Report - 7/8/2013

Good morning humanoids who glide upon the brine! Another week is ahead of us and it's just flat-out great to be here! It's gray and overcast out here at the beach but the sun could make an appearance at any time. The temperature is slipping in at a fuzzy 57 degrees. Now, let's cut to the chase, shall we? There is an on-shore wind putting more pock marks on the water surface than Edward James Olmos has on his face. Wave size can be measured with a twelve inch school ruler and you wouldn't even have to use all of it. Yep. That small. If things change I'll be sure to post it up right here.

CHANNEL: It's resembling one aspect of Disney Land today... "It's A Small World After All." Couple this with a low, LOW tide where the sandbar looks like Gilligan's Island and the on-shore wind seems more suited to fly kites than surf. No one out but I didn't really need to say that, did I?

PATCH: The rocks at the Patch are out grinning their collective ding-inducing teeth. Teeny, six-to-eight inch rollers are slurping across this craggy territory and can't seem to even have the decency to at least pretend to break. Frank the lonely Pelican is out there sweeping up like a janitor at the end of a high school dance (cue music; "True" by Spandau Ballet).

PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

TIDES:

LOW:  6:28 am  -0.5'
