Daily Surf Report - 7/26/2013

Drizzle, mist, overcast, coastal cloudiness.  We have a little bit of all here this morning in beautiful West Marin.  Relatively windless and temp 58F.  Sun was out by noon yesterday but today may be a different story.  Dropping tide and dropping S swell makes things fickle today.  Some spots are working now and others will work later.  Bring a big board and have some time on your hands and you will be rewarded with waves at some point.

CHANNEL:  Ripped to shreds by the dropping tide.  Swirling water over exposed sandbars makes for interesting viewing but no surfing at this time.  Empty lineup and rightfully so.  Again the micro spinning left showing us the potential for this spot when conditions are right.  Wait for incoming tide later today and give it another look.

PATCH:  Way outside past the meeting rock there are waves.  Waist high slow rollers good for the log, SUP or NUP.  Dropping tide may shut it down soon but there are about 8 surfers out there now enjoying the morning session.  Afternoons have had positive feedback here when water levels are higher.

PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT.  Respect the Beach.
