Daily Surf Report - 10/8/2010

You can feel it in the air. The cool crispness of the start of Fall. Early morning temps were in the mid 40s but it is sunny, clear and windless and will warm up like yesterday into the low 70s.

The surf is again smooth and glassy.

The Channel has picked up and is about waist high on average right now with with mostly lefts and the occasional inside right. The left is long and breaking all the way to the inside Groin pole. Fast and fun and a smaller board could work on the inside section. There is also surf on the Seadrift side.

The Patch is knee to thigh high and smooth with rights coming in about midway out and inside as well. Looks to be fun on a longboard. There are 3 SUPs in the water and a few surfers as well.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

Tides:
Low - 5:48 am 1.3'
High - 12:14 am 6.6'
Low - 6:35 pm -0.7'
