Daily Surf Report - 10/2/2010

We have some coastal cloudiness and a little fog today. The temps are mild and there is currently no wind. Ocean surface is smooth. There are some streaks of blue sky showing already and the sun came out yesterday at 9:30am. Expecting nice weather for a beach weekend.

Today is a surf day in Bolinas.

We still have the NW swell with some juice in the water. The Channel / Groin has some good lefts that are fast and somewhat hollow in the chest to shoulder high range with occasional head high sets. A HP longboard works best and there are hybrids, fish and shortboards in the water as well. Smaller boards will catch waves today at the Channel. There are rideable rights on the Stinson side as well.

The Patch is breaking outside, midway and inside as well and is a bit smaller but still in the waist high + size. Everyone in the Patch is on longboards. There are also a few pieces of surf starting to form out front of the boat ramp area. When some sandbars form we could have some Fall surf here as well in the future.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

Tides:
High - 8:37 am 4.6'
Low - 1:23 pm 2.9'
High - 7:13 pm 5.5'
