Daily Surf Report - 7/21/2012

Aloha surfers, it's a festive morning with reindeer games and pineapple burgers with poached eggs, I'll have one more mimosa please and a refill on the coffee!
The weather outside is, weather...and it's pretty calm, not a lot of wind from any particular direction, a little ripple on the water, but could be a combo of morning sickness and the tide being super low. About 56 degrees out and some little waves reeling through, a great begninner day to surf and to harness and hone those skills before the next swell! Get out there wiki wiki haoles!

Channel: tide is a little too low, but coming up now so conditions should improve. Little waves in the shin to knee, maybe waist high, mostly in the middle of the channel and on the bar moving towards the boat ramp. Little bump, but we should see an overall imoprovement throughout the day. About 5 or 6 guys out longboarding at present.

Patch: nothing really happening out there, super low tide and lots and lots of rocks, there are two SUPers out there, and they're barely catching a cold, so my advice is to wait until the tide fills and hopefully we will have some little patch grinders to log.

South swells are starting and if you're craving warm water and consistent waves, visit our friends in Mexico at Manzanillo Bay. Manzanillo Bay is a quick and easy surf destination from San Francisco. Hidden away and off the beaten tourist path, The Inn at Manzanillo Bay is a sanctuary, protected from prevailing winds and large line-ups. Ten steps from your private bungalow is Manzanillo Point—a spectacular left point break.

Whether it's the onsite five star restaurant serving regional Mexican cuisine or the clean luxurious accommodations, you’ll leave the Inn comfortable and relaxed. Oh and there are regular sea turtle hatchings on the beach right out front. Prepare to be impressed.
