Daily Surf Report - 3/13/2015

Inspirational Crystal Quote Of The Day:
"Honest disagreement is often a good sign of progress." - Mahatma Gandhi

Wisps of fog in the trees and clearing skies at the beach bring us a festive morning full of promise.  Air is clean and temp is 51F at this moment.  Winds are light to nil making for a smooth ocean surface upon which to gaze and ride.  Sand has returned and so has our beach so access to all dimensions is available.  Mixture of close period NW windswell and a little taste of SW adds to the micro brew today.  Some spots like it better than others but all will offer up opportunities to glide today.

CHANNEL: Lots of beach and tide ripping low has the Channel hopped up and chopped up with very little discernible shapes upon which to sled.  Boat ramp action still showing life with thigh high mini waves that still have enough water levels to allow for waves to break.  This spot will need to chill for a tidal turnaround and clean up with the attempt to lure surfers out.  For now - Try Wait.

PATCH:   A passionate contingent of loggers are out as the early high tide and current swell directions are aligned to deliver today.  Nearly waist high smoothness is being exhibited in the Patch and all comers are riding waves of near consequence.  Outside past the meeting rock the journey begins yet the midway mark and into the Snags shows the most excitement and possibility for speed and turns.  About 12 surfers on it now and for good reason.  Join the masses and add to the fun times.

Daily Surf Report - 3/12/2015

Inspirational Crystal Quote Of The Day:
"Is there anyone so wise as to learn by the experience of others?" - Voltaire

Supreme mix of bright sunshine and swirling fogs gives that day a 4th dimensional aspect unifying both time and space.  Find a new perspective and address the ocean with profound respect and allegiance today.  Temperature bobs and weaves its way towards 50F this morning and unpredictability will guide us forwards.  Just a weak blend of NW windswell offering up faded energy on a smooth ocean canvas.  There are partakers of the gifts and mighty efforts have boards moving shoreward on glistening waves of minor appeal.

CHANNEL: High tide now nearing low has the Channel shredded up with current rips.  No waves of consequence or observation being exhibited and therefore an empty lineup here.  Out at the Boat Ramp the action really picks up with knee to thigh-master sized rights pulsing through.  SUPs and loggers are hard at work making these pint sized rollers work for surfing.  The day shows promise and the afternoon incoming tide may get things working in both spots but for now only here is rideable.

PATCH:   Only a lonely ocean sweeper appears in the Patch.  Knee high smooth rights are working in the Snags region and a generalized peaceful calms covers the region.  More water and swell is required to procure more waves.  Rocks are starting to emerge from the depths and tide will start filling in the early afternoon.

Daily Surf Report - 3/11/2015

We are closed every Wednesday for the month of February but we will re-open this Thursday at 10AM

Inspirational Crystal Quote Of The Day:  "Trust your instinct to the end, though you can render no reason." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Dense fog and a solid mist that chills to the bone mixes with low visibility and the hoax of 50 degrees as we survey the coast this morning. The aforementioned fog is making true observations of conditions a challenge, but even through the haze, there is little seen. Slow motions and little push are on tap, and only the desperate are bellying up for a taste.

CHANNEL: Only two visible shapes in the water this morning, with calf-high rollers being ridden for mere moments. These brave souls clearly hold PHD's  from The University Of Making Something Out Of Nothing, as only the masters of minimalism are attempting slides.

PATCH:   Rocks. Wind. A heavy mist. These are all that the patch reveals upon an inspecting gaze. There is hope that with the tidal push shapes may come into play, so we align our chi and practice quiet contemplation and mindfulness.

Daily Surf Report - 3/9/2015

Inspirational Crystal Quote Of The Day:
"Why didn't I learn to treat everything like it was the last time? My greatest regret is how much I believed in the future." - Jonathan Safran Foer

We find a heavy fog and a chilly breeze as we survey the village this morning. Minimal conditions with yards of beach visible as of now. Dogs chase sticks and tennis balls, but these are the only creatures enjoying the water currently. The fog should dissipate, but slide-able shapes will take waiting on the tidal push as the day rolls by.

CHANNEL: A single ray of sun shines through the mist, as if to make real our hopes and desires for improved conditions. Patience is the key today friends, as only the most miniscule action pushes towards the shore.

PATCH:   Paddles in hand is the modus operandi this fine morning, as so many stand and gaze longingly at the patch. If there is to be any action harvested from the sea's bounty, it shall be found here, but only with a marked increase in power and water volume. Keep an eye on the tides and pray for slides and rides...

Daily Surf Report - 3/8/2015

Inspirational Crystal Quote Of The Day:  "In this bright future you can't forget your past." - Bob Marley

Foggy morning out here. Nice and crisp at 52F and hopefully growing  near yesterday's heat at 80+F.  Parking is a plenty and there seems to be a building crowd in the water.

CHANNEL: Quiet envy in the minds of the surfers who are imagining perfect conditions. Looking on the smaller side today but like yesterday will likely pick up throughout the day. Currently about knee high between the channel and out front.

PATCH:   Crowds gathering at the patch to enjoy the last of the weekend. Not a ton of waves but the ones that are coming through look fun. Small as usual but not bad shape. Knee+ right now but we are praying for surf.

Daily Surf Report - 3/7/2015

Inspirational Crystal Quote Of The Day: "When I was growing up, my family was so poor we couldn't afford to pay attention." - Mr. T

Super sunny and bright this morning with a nice temperature of 55F to start this lovely day. Plenty of beach to go around but not enough parking spaces. All sun and smile today, the water looks crisp and fun. Absolute perfect March day, come enjoy this glorious day and bring your crystals.

CHANNEL:  Not much action as of now, looks like some rip is coming through. Sea drift semi-working. Knee high and almost consistent. Only a few surfers out there right now but should see a crowd later on when the swell picks up.

PATCH:   Looking like the desired destination today, maybe 15 heads bobbing as of now. Water working at knee+ and constant. May grow as the day does, in size and in glory.
