Happy Wednesday. As of 11 am the fog has rolled in pretty heavy (we had sun earlier!). The temperature is 57 degrees. Little bit of onshore wind, not too much.
Bring your long board today, there's a small swell out there with larger surf than the last few days. There's some texture on the water. Most surfers were in the patch with knee to thigh high average sets. The channel shows thigh high average waves with some larger ones in between at the waist and there are 2 surfers over there so far. As of 3:15 pm, I cannot see the surf at all, the fog is too thick.

Bring your longest board today. With the low tide this afternoon, we saw smaller waves and the wind kicked up too. Then later as the tide is rising back up, we see more of the same knee high conditions at the channel, with the patch staying pretty flat. The wind died down too, so we have a nice calm afternoon.

Great long boarding day. There's a small S/W out there. 1-2' range in the channel with a dozen surfers out this morning. Also 1-2' in the patch with a couple of surfers on that side. There's a bit of texture on the water probably from the wind. As the tide is low this afternoon I'll leave updates here with any changes in conditions.

Daily Surf Report - 11/14/2010
Another beautiful beach morning. Orange, red, purple skies with sun coming up over the east hills. Mild morning air which will give way to warm temps expected to reach 70 at the beach today. Light winds blowing due to high pressure system over the Bay Area. Come to the beach while it lasts.
Waves size has dropped today is thigh to waist high on the better ones.
Channel waves is still nice and smooth but not as fast and racy as yesterday. Good sandbars keep the shape of the left consistent but longboards only today. Seadrift has its good right that is smooth and also thigh to waist high. This is the best wave in town today. Still long rides to be had.
Patch is again rideable but with current high tide not as good as the Channel. Waves are averaging knee to thigh high in size. Should improve as tide turns. Great place to practice and learn today.

Daily Surf Report - 11/13/2010
Let's get it started early this morning. Clear skies with sun coming up over the east hills. Cool morning air which will give way to warm temps expected to reach 70 at the beach this weekend. Winds from the NE blowing offshore due to high pressure system over the Bay Area. Another beach and surf day today.
Channel still has the nice left that is breaking waist to chest high right now. Good sandbars prevail and long rides to the inside are possible. Seadrift has a good right that is smooth and waist to chest high as well. Lots of surfers in the water today. Waves are smooth, fast and fun.
Patch is smaller but rideable and averaging thigh high. Waves are smooth and rideable on a longboard today. Great place to practice and learn today.

Daily Surf Report - 11/12/2010
Sun, sun and more sun. Cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon. Weather pattern expected to hold through Sunday. No wind, glassy. Swell in the water. What are you waiting for?
Channel currently rideable waves that are thigh high and up to waist high on the sets. Lefts are still breaking all the way to the inside Groin and the occasional Mali-BO right with the NW swell. Seadrift right is working as well. Everyone is on longboards today. There is no wind and the sun is shining.
Patch is small with a few SUPs and longboarders out. Thigh high at best but should improve as tide continues to drop.

Daily Surf Report - 11/11/2010
Happy Veteran's Day today.
Clear and sunny skies this morning. Crispness in the air - see your breath. Lightly off shore breeze. Saw 3 foxes near Olema. Love this morning weather, it just says FALL.
Channel currently has the best waves with waist high lefts breaking all the way to the inside Groin. Everyone is on longboards today. There is a light off shore spray, sun is shining through the waves and ocean is smooth. It is a surf day.
Patch has closer interval waves that are more in the thigh high size. One SUP is out at the Patch right now. May improve with incoming tide.

Clear and sunny skies this morning. Crispness in the air - see your breath. Lightly off shore breeze. Saw 3 foxes near Olema. Love this morning weather, it just says FALL.
Channel currently has the best waves with waist high lefts breaking all the way to the inside Groin. Everyone is on longboards today. There is a light off shore spray, sun is shining through the waves and ocean is smooth. It is a surf day.
Patch has closer interval waves that are more in the thigh high size. One SUP is out at the Patch right now. May improve with incoming tide.
