Sunshine this morning with temps in the low 50s. Winds have died down significantly to around 5 knots. Still blowing side/off-shore so it is benefiting the surf.
Surf:
There is still a small S/W swell in the water with waves in the knee to thigh high range. Off-shore winds are helping to hold up the waves a little and there are some shortboarders on the inside of the Channel with all others on longboards or SUPs at the Patch. It is a nice but cool day with a little bit of surf to ride.

Daily Surf Report - 4/29/2010
Sunshine this morning will cool temps in the low 50s. At least there is no rain. Winds are off-shore which is helping to improve the surf conditions.
Surf:
There is still a small S/W swell in the water with scattered waves in the thigh high to almost waist high size. Off-shore winds are helping to hold up the waves a little and there are some shortboarders on the inside of the Groin with all others on longboards at the Boat Ramp or Patch. It is a nice but cool day with a little bit of surf to ride.
Tides:
Low - 6:45 am -1.3'
High - 1:52 pm 4.7'
Low - 6:33 pm 2.2'

Good morning. Happy full moon. We have passing rain showers this morning with sun in between. Temperatures are in the low 50's. There's an sideshore breeze, gusty at times--10-15 mph. I will be taking a long lunch today if I'm not busy, so it is a good idea to call first, thanks!
Surf:
We still see a small S/W swell at a few feet--knee high at best and mushy in the patch and the channel is about the same. There's texture/bumpiness on the water. Bring that longboard!

As of almost 4 pm the rain has stopped for a while. The wind is off and on and showers are predicted through tomorrow. Please call first to make sure I'm here if you are planning to come out, I will be closing at 4 pm today.

As of this afternoon, we still see some bumpy, messy surf. It is not very well organized, although there are a few knee high sets around the channel that are sloppy.

Good morning, happy Monday. Gorgeous morning, but the clouds are already heading in covering that blue. Light wind, which is picking up. There's rain predicted for later this afternoon.
Surf:
Small long period swell from southwest. Patch was glassy and knee to thigh high this morning with the lower tide. Some sets were waist high. The channel was smaller, as the tide fills in we're seeing the surf getting a bit smaller. Bring that longboard!
Tides: (Full moon coming up on Wednesday, so the tides fluctuate more.)

Clear and sunny skies, mild temps and no wind. Looks like it's going to be a gorgeous day,so come on out.
There are waves at the Groin and Channel today in the 2-3 FT high range. Across the way at Seadrift there is a small right and left that is breaking today. Still looks like a longboard will work best as the wave is soft but smooth and rideable. A fish or shortboard can work on the inside Channel. Not much breaking at the patch at this time. I'll update later if conditions change.

Still have a lingering NW swell in the water producing surf at the Patch in the thigh high range. There are waves at the Groin and Channel today in the thigh to waist high range as well.
