There's a small swell out--bring out your longest board The patch is flat. The channel is around knee high with some long waits between sets--every now and then a set will be a bit larger than knee high--there are about 6 to 8 surfers out there. Calm smooth seas. I'll leave an update here with any condition changes as the tide goes out later in the day.

Good morning and happy Tuesday. We have off and on rain showers this morning with clouds beginning to break up and sun between. A little bit of a N/W wind. 51 degrees.
There's a small swell out there-smaller than yesterday. The patch is pretty flat with no sets breaking at all. The channel is not too much better right now...maybe knee high. The wind has picked up this afternoon from the north at about 15 mph.

There's a small swell out there. There are 6 surfers in the channel this morning catching knee to thigh high sets. Some texture on the water. The patch is around half a foot and not really breaking at all--there's no one on that side. As the tide drops out this afternoon I'll leave an update here. Extreme tides due to last nights full moon.

Sunday+sunny (for now?) - SURF UP!!!
Surf Sunday! Well the call for junky storm+rain may not be true (at least for now), we got a sunny break in the storm(s) AND some swell.
NW swell picked up and it's wrapping into the channel. Waves in Channel thigh to waist to stomach to maybe chest hi. Cleaner and more organized compared to yesterday's kite flying conditions.
Patch is not breaking real well now w/the hi tide and steep North angle of swell, but it's about knee to thigh hi. Best bet for surf is the channel and it may be possible to surf a shortboard/fish if you're lightweight.
PROBABLY swell will diminish a bit as we have a huge outgoing tide all day thru dark...get on it sooner than later!

Sat 11-20 - Storm a brewin', sunny now...WINDY!
It's SATURDAY people! Sunny now but probably more storm heading in later today/tonight. Snow levels down to 2500'-3000'?
A few surfers in The Channel looks to be around 1-2',with short, sectiony rides here and there...it's a bit bumpy, lots of white water and not very organized. HARD W/WNW/ wind 15-25. Sunny but windy...damn.
Swell should increase from the NW/N windswell, we'll see what can wrap around and end up on the beach. However, it's supposed to be story and cold by end of day

Daily Surf Report - 11/18/2010
Clear and sunny skies with no fog in town today. Currently mild morning air which will give way to warm temps later today. No wind blowing and ocean surface is smooth.
Channel has some small waves in the thigh high range with a few surfers currently in the water. Seadrift also has small rideable waves in the thigh high size. Looks like longboards only today.
Patch has an inside right that looks to be thigh high and ridable as well. Good learning wave for today but there are currently no surfers there.

We have our locally shaped Hand Planes in the shop made from recycled skateboards. Pair it with a set of Churchill fins and you will always have a smile on your face after your session. Each plane is unique and has individual signed artwork. Come by the shop and check them out. Makes a great gift for the surfer in the family.
Also check out our custom board bags from Deeper Visions. Hand-made by a local Bolinas artist. A perfect way to store your board and all are one of a kind.

We are now open daily from 10am - 5pm for our Winter hours through March. Come out to rent if you need gear. We have a full selection of suits, boots, boards and SUPs to rent every day and are only 522 steps to the beach.
